This Week in High School Sports: 1/12/18
Posted Friday, January 12, 2018

This week’s show previews the upcoming Women In Sports Leadership conference, passes out Game Balls to Lexi Niepoth of Bellaire in girls basketball and Derek Maas of Holland West Ottawa in boys swimming, talks about safety in ice hockey in the "Be The Referee" segment and closes with a commentary on referees being driven from the games.

The 5-minute program, powered by MI Student Aid, leads off each week with feature stories from around the state from the MHSAA’s Second Half or network affiliates. "Be The Referee," a 60-second look at the fine art of officiating, comes in the middle of the show and is followed by a closing MHSAA "Perspective."
